After leading a life of great extravagance at Cardingtown, Captain Rawson died in 1814, aged sixty-six. His second son, Robert. succeeded him, and built the present house at Glassealy in 1818, the ruins of the old house being converted into farm stables and out-offices. Robert married Maria, daughter of George Mansergh, and, dying in 1854 in his eighty-second year, was succeeded by his eldest son, Lewis Rawson, at Glassealy.
Stephen Killin: I did find a transcription of the Roll of the Quaker School at Ballitore in the Leadbetter papers, which confirms that Lewis Rawson and Thomas Rawson were admitted as pupils in 1819, 4th month, 26th day (I think that 4th month is June in the Quaker calendar). I suspect that this may be your Thomas and his elder brother Lewis. Also, William Rawson and James Rawson were admitted in 1786, 6th month, 28th day. I wonder whether these may be Thomas James's two eldest sons. https://archive.org/stream/leadbeaterpapers01lead#page/446/mode/2up <https://archive.org/stream/leadbeaterpapers01lead>
Robert married Maria MANSERGH, daughter of Capt. George MANSERGH and Jane DACRE, about 1804.1 (Maria MANSERGH was born about 1784 of Greenane, Tipperary, Ireland.)
