Judith RAWSON

  General Notes:

Stephen Killin: There are, in my opinion, errors in Burke's Herbert-Stepney pedigree and there are still a number of Rawsons living in Ireland in the 17th Century or even earlier who remain unaccounted for. I realize that this may of more relevance to my own research than to yours, but I would make you aware of it nonetheless.

By way of example, Burke's pedigree shows Judith Rawson who married Captain James King as a daughter of Gilbert Rawson senior, whereas the Funeral Entry of the Bishop of Elphin, Edward King, shows that Judith was a sister of Gilbert Rawson senior and a daughter of James Rawson and Elizabeth Lawrence (copy attached).

Judith married Capt. James KING, son of Rt. Rev. Edward KING , Bishop of Elphin and Anne COXSED. (Capt. James KING was born on 6 Feb 1610 and died after 1657.)
