Christiana Montgomery Cuthbert died at the home of her grandson Dr. Hastwell Thornton Jr.in 1891 at 99 years of age and is buried in St. Andrew's United Church Cemetery in New Richmond. Beside her grave is a stone erected in memory of her husband William Cuthbert, who was interred in Greenoch, Scotland.


Christiana married William CUTHBERT, son of William CUTHBERT and Elizabeth GUTHRIE, on 13 Mar 1832 in New Carlisle, Canada. (William CUTHBERT was born in 1789 in Alloway, Ayrshire, Scotland 1 and died on 3 Aug 1854 in Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland.)
