Christopher Irvine, a lawyer, bred at the Temple, London, was the first of the family who settled in Ireland, upon a grant, from King James VI. of Scotland and I. of England, of lands in Fermanagh. He built Castle Irvine, which was burnt by the rebels in 1641. He lived till after the Restoration, and died in 1666, at an advanced age. He married his cousin, Blanche, daughter of Edward Irvine, Laird of Stapleton (see Irving of Bonshaw), and had issue


Christopher married Blanche IRVINE, daughter of Edward IRVINE Laird of Stapleton and Unknown.
