1 - Flaithertach an Trostain o Neill (of the Pilgrims Staff), King of Aileach 1004 until 1030 and also from 1033 until 1036, in whose time seat of power was moved from Aileach to Tulach Og. He was often at war with Brian Boru. In 1030 he abdicated and went on pilgrimage to Rome 1030 and resumed the crown on his son's death in 1033. He died in 1036 leaving issue.
