He was born on 30th September 1919 in Paris , died in Hossegor on 13th November 2008. He was an international civil servant of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, for 35 years.
In the 2nd WW, he was part of the régiment de Lattre de Tassigny in the "1er bataillon des chasseurs à pied" and was awarded the Croix de Guerre.
Gerard married Suzette Claire BENEZET, daughter of Leopold Auguste BENEZET and Germaine PANEHAUD, on 26 Jun 1949 in New York, USA. (Suzette Claire BENEZET was born on 22 Jun 1922 in Casablanca, Morocco and died on 11 Sep 2005 in Hossegor, Landes, France.)
