Janet Sempill Forbes was the daughter of Alexander Forbes and Janet Forbes.2,3 She married, firstly, John Newton, son of Colonel Philip Newton and Sarah Westrop, on 2 July 1850 at Culsamond, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1,4 She married, secondly, Thomas Rawson on 10 November 1863.1
From 2 July 1850, her married name became Newton.1 From 10 November 1863, her married name became Rawson.1

Janet married John NEWTON, son of Col. Philip NEWTON and Sarah WESTROP, on 2 Jul 1850 in Culsamond, Aberdeen, Scotland.¹ (John NEWTON died on 22 Oct 1859 ².)

Janet next married Thomas James RAWSON M. D., son of Robert RAWSON and Maria MANSERGH, on 10 Nov 1863 in Dublin, Dublin, Ireland. (Thomas James RAWSON M. D. was born about 1807 in Glassealy House, Co. Kildare , Ireland, died on 12 Oct 1881 in Barrowville, Carlow, Ireland and was buried on 15 Oct 1881 in Staplestown, Carlow, Ireland.)
