General Notes:
Douglas Stuart was the most successful of those siblings and by all accounts a very talented individual. He was in the school cricket team at Malvern, went to Cambridge University. He moved back to Australia where he took over the reigns from his father and died a very rich man. Bearing in mind the world had suffered the depression in the 1930's, when he died in the late 1940s he left about £300,000 (we have a copy of his will at home). He had a daughter who died in a plane crash and his grand daughter I know nothing about. I have heard reports that she could live in Switzerland.
Douglas married Frances Annie Edwina OLIVER, daughter of Alexander OLIVER and Annie ROBERTSON, in 1906 in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. (Frances Annie Edwina OLIVER was born on 16 Nov 1883 in St George Parish, Edinburgh, Scotland.)
