General Notes:
My grandfather was born in Melbourne as you are aware. He came over to the UK and attended Malvern College (as did my father, brother and I) along with his brothers (one of whom was a good cricketer). He settled in Northumberland where he married and had a family - William, Thomas, Stuart, Leslie, Florence and my father, Finlay. Sadly he committed suicide shortly before the birth of my father (allegedly suffering from depression) though he was a keen sportsman and apparently had a horse riding accident which he apparently never fully recovered.
Thomas married Emily Victorina Gertrude ATKINS in 1917.
