Sir John Neilson GLADSTONE

John Neilson Gladstone was born on 18 January 1807.¹ He was the son of Sir John Gladstone, 1st Bt. and Anne MacKenzie Robertson .^1,2 He married Elizabeth Honoria Bateson, daughter of Sir Robert Bateson, 1st Bt., on 7 February 1839.¹ He died on 7 February 1863 at age 56.¹
John Neilson Gladstone gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Navy.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ipswich and Devizes.⁴ He lived at Bowden Park, Chippenham, Wiltshire, England .³

John married Elizabeth Honoria BATESON on 7 Feb 1839.
