Monier married Anna Brown and beame Surveyor General of Bombay, they were the parents of Sir Monier Williams, the great Indian He died Sanscrit scholar.
Monier married Hannah Sophia BROWN, daughter of Joseph Thomas BROWN and Mary Anne SHIPTON. (Hannah Sophia BROWN was born on 5 Jul 1793 and died after 1840.)
