Dumnagual Hen King of Strathclyde

  • Born: Abt 465

  General Notes:

Dumnagual Hen, King of Strathclyde
(Born c.AD 465)
(Welsh: Dyfnwal; Latin: Domnovellaunus; English: Donald)

Dumnagual Hen (the Old) was the son of King Cinuit of Strathclyde. Though his father's kingdom was divided upon his death, he inherited the greater part. He ruled in the late 5th century but, although he is mentioned occasionally in historical sources, very little is known about him. He had many sons, including Cedic (his successor), Guidno, Cunbelin, Garmonion, Gurgust Briadar and possibly Guidol and Deigr.
