died of Cholera at Wuhu, China, 5th September,
1902. This memorial is erected by his sorrowing
children.

John Shelton (Agar), of Kandy, Ceylon, born 23
Oct., 1842, married 1872, Emily, only daughter of
Gotlieb Cruwell, Esq., of Ceylon, and has 4 sons a
and 5 daughters.

John married Emily CRUWELL, daughter of Gotlieb Arnold CRUWELL and Julie Wilhelmine BECKHAUS, on 6 Apr 1872. (Emily CRUWELL was born in 1853 in Austria?, died on 8 Feb 1891 in Ceylon, and was buried in Borella General cemetery, Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo, Ceylon.)
