The Williams came from Monmouthshire and were well known county person George Williams of Silverdale, Swansea, married the sister of the celebrated Dr. Butler, the author of Hudibras. Visitors to London may see Dr. Butler's tomb in St.Pauls ages.

Mr. George Williams had three sons and one daughter. John died single and bequeathed his estate near Monmouth to a Monastery .
