He was born on April 23rd 1835 and joined the 84th Regiment. Served in the Indian Mutiny 1857-58. See also service record of 1857, Rangoon. (book by Lionel Dawson 'Squires and Sepoys'). On his return to England he married Adeline King King (see King King family) on May 15th 1860. He became the brother-in-law of William Battine (Dawson tree); they were both at the relief of Lucknow. They had four children (see below). She died in 1890in Thurston. Then he married in July 1893, Adela Mary Duffield née Theobald, daughter of Theobald Theobald, JP of Sutton Courtney Abbey, Abingdon, widow of Thomas Duffield JP, 5th Dragoon Guards. They had no issue. George was of Thurston House, a JP and a Col. of the Suffolk Imperial Yeomanry. He died in Folkestone on May 8th 1915.


George married Adeline KING KING, daughter of James KING KING M.P. and Mary Cochrane MACKENZIE, on 15 May 1860 in St George Hanover Square , London, Middlesex, England. (Adeline KING KING was born about 1841 in Bishops Frome, Hereford, England 2 and died about 1890.)


George next married Adela Mary Lavinia THEOBALD, daughter of Theobald THEOBALD and Unknown, in Jul 1893 in St George Hanover Square , London, Middlesex, England. (Adela Mary Lavinia THEOBALD died in 1916.)
