General Notes: He held the office of Constable of Leinster, which he acquired through his wife. He acquired the town of Enniscorthy, County Wexford through his wife. Philip married Maud DE QUINCY, daughter of Robert DE QUINCY Lord of Buckley, Constable Of Leinster and Basilia DE CLARE. (Maud DE QUINCY was born in 1172 in Long Buckley, Northamptonshire, England and died in 1231 in Enniscorthy, Wexford, Ireland.) |
