WILLIAM SPENCE LOGIN
born Stromness
his father John Login was a shipowner
at 15 he entered Edinburgh University to study for the prebyterian ministry
his first charge was Papa Westray from 1844- 1853
in 1845 he married Anne Miller Howden of Edinburgh
He with his wife & 4 children left Stromness and sailed from Leith Scotland on 11/8/53 to Australia and arrived in Aus in 1854
He was the first resident minister in North Gippsland Victoria
and was minister of the presbyterian church Sale Victoria from 1854-1886
