Barry Power, b. 1726, perhaps London, England, and may be the one who m. 13 Dec 1747, St. Katherine By the Tower, London, Sarah Nash b c 1726, England.
Barry Power and his wife Sarah had a son Edward, b 28 April 1762 or 1768 in England, d. 1846 Edgecombe Co., NC. He m. Abigael Coker in Edgecombe Co., NC.
They had a dau., Sarah Mc Comb Power, b 19 Jan 1801, Edgecombe Co., NC; m Cary Fountain, b 1797. These are my gr., gr., grandparents. The info is from a Fountain Family Bible that has been published in a book of NC Family Bible Records. I have had a copy of the actual Bible, but at the moment they are misplaced. If needed, I believe I might be able to obtain a copy, again. I would enjoy connecting with cousins on the Power name. Supposedly, Barry or Edward was in the navy in the Rev. War, but can find no record of such. One of Cary Fountains sons made the remark in one of Goodspeeds "glory" books in Cross Co., AR>
