General Notes: The Peerage: He joined King James's Army.1 In 1690 he was found 'to have been in open rebellion and to have departed after the battle of the Boyne with the Earls of Tyrconnel and Limerick and with other rebels beyond the Shannon where they continued in war and rebellion. More than 6,000 acres of his lands were forfeited, but most of these were restored in 1703.1 He had two other sons and a daughter. Oliver married Eleanor NUGENT, daughter of Robert NUGENT and Alice DUNGAN, in 1682.1 (Eleanor NUGENT was born in 1661.) |
