General Notes: Joseph Graham who accompanied his mother Sarah to India on 26 June 1829[7] (perhaps on the Lady Nugent) was born at Ramsgate, Kent, in 1828. He studied the Law and, becoming a QC, was Advocate General of Bengal. In about 1856 Joseph married Elizabeth, daughter of General John R Coryton and had 3 sons. Noted events in his life were: 1. Occupation: Barrister. Joseph married Elizabeth CORYTON, daughter of Gen. John R. CORYTON and Elizabeth, on 27 Oct 1855. (Elizabeth CORYTON was born in 1832 in Woolwich, Kent, England and died in 1897 2.) |
