Lucien Chanson (9 juin 1988) info donnée par Romain Lavergne janv 2004 + CGL info suivante: issue du travail de Mme Monique Lacroix-Bazalgette, "...Famille BAZALGETTE d'origine Ispagnac 48, s'installe en 1640 à Marsillargues 34 où son nom se transforme en BASSAGET. Cette famille protestante compte plusieurs pasteurs dans son sein."Contrat de mariage de Guillaume BASSAGET avec Jeanne BOUQUET passé chez Me Alby le 22/04/1640 (info Sylvette Ellena le 20 oct 2007)

nota : une branche émigrée en UK d'où Sir Joseph William BAZALGETTE (28 march 1819 - 15 march 1891) grandson of a french huguenot immigrant. (cf curious fox.com)

Philipe Metivier married Francoise Reine Daugis at St George Hanover Square on 24 Sept 1759.They had a daughter Catherine (my gggggmr) born soon afterwards (no record found)
Catherine married Jean Louis Bazalgette at SGHS on 14 August 1779. She bore 4 children (I know about them) but died in 1785 and was buried 16 May 1785 at St Marylebone Parish Ch,[old church].
Philipe was a hatter and had a shop in Old Bond Street.
That's all I know about them. Never found a birth for Catherine or deaths for her parents, or any sign of siblings.No naturalisations that I could find, or possible entries in IGI etc
So it's a big mystery so I thought I would see what anyone thinks. I could have a lot of relatives somewhere....

Guillaume married Jeanne BOUGUET, daughter of Pierre BOUGUET and Jeanne DAIRIC, on 23 May 1640 in Marsillargues, Herault, France. (Jeanne BOUGUET was christened on 20 Sep 1609 in Marsillargues, Herault, France and died on 8 Feb 1682 in Marsillargues, Herault, France.)
