Few names have been so long associated with the Irish turf as that of Mr. Richard Coffy, who bred and raced many famous racers and chasers " The Deformed, Twilight, Yaller Gal, Newcastle, Fertullagh, Gardiner, and Juryman, to wit. The subscription amounts to ;/^i,ioo a year; they hunt three days a week, and if there were a few more gorse coverts the country is quite large enough for an additional day each week; the average number of the field is about thirty; and with more game the country would take a high place.
