The year 1833 had started very well for the Bayly's of Baylyfarm. In April Helen Maria married William Rowan Hamilton, National Astronomer of Ireland and one of Europe's most eminent mathematicians. The ceremony was in Ballinaclough church and it is likely that the congregation included Catherine Bayly and her husband John, who was the bride's uncle. While honeymooning at Baylyfarm, Rowan Hamilton commented positively about Ballinaclough: 'We have taken some pleasant walks, for there were some fine summer-like days. And we have beautiful views of Keeper and other mountains, besides flowers and lambs, and all things pastoral and pretty.'

Helen married Sir William Rowan HAMILTON, son of Archibald HAMILTON and Sarah HUTTON, in 1833 in Ballinaclough, Nenagh, Co Tipperary, Ireland. (Sir William Rowan HAMILTON was born 3-4 Aug 1805 in Dominick Street, Dublin, Ireland, died on 2 Sep 1865 in Dublin, Dublin, Ireland. and was buried in Mount Jerome cemetary, Dublin, Dublin, Ireland.)
