afterwards for a time a hostage with the Afghans.

Lieutenant-General Colin Mackenzie (25 March 1806, London - 22 October 1881) was a Scottish officer in the Indian Army who was active as a political officer in Afghanistan.


Colin married Adeline Marie PATTLE, daughter of James Peter PATTLE and Adeline DE L'ETANG, on 26 May 1832. (Adeline Marie PATTLE was born on 19 Mar 1812 in Murshedabad, India and died on 26 May 1836 at Sea.)
