Charles Manning Allen was born on 4 June 1799 at Versailles, Île-de-France, France .2 He was the son of Captain Thomas Allen and Katherine Manning .2 He married Anna Beresford , daughter of Rt. Hon. John de la Poer Beresford and Barbara Montgomery , on 9 October 1822 at London, England .2 He died on 25 December 1880 at age 81.2 He was buried at Eskdale, Inverness-shire, Scotland .2
Charles Manning Allen fought in the Battle of Waterloo on 18 June 1815, in the advance Guard of the French Army.2 He was also known as Charles Edward Stuart, Count d'Albanie.2
