I believe you're missing Herman Ramseyer- between Esther and Martha. I'm not sure when he was born, but he's in there. Lived in Emigration Canyon when it was still kind of wilderness. Achilles had a cabin up there and I met the guy that owns the land now- Stan Fishler. He wrote a book about Emigration Canyon and Herman lived there for many years. It's a neat area. I have a cousin that lives up there now. It's part of SLC, but back then people lived there in the Summer to get away from the oppressive heat ( but there isn't as much humidity as here) and had their 'cabins' but theirs was just a clapboard shanty back then. Herman Ramseyer, age 88, passed away peacefully March 21, 1994, at his home.
Born, May 26, 1905, Salt Lake City, Utah to Achilles Adolph and Maria Hofmann Ramseyer. Married Gertrude "Trudy" Hertig, March 22, 1939, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Active High Priest in the LDS Church, having served a mission to Switzerland and three stake missions. Served in the U.S. Army for three years in Europe. Lived in Emigration Canyon for 47 years. Loved to hike the canyon and backpack in the Uintahs. Active Scouter and was always accompanied by Scouts on his outings.
Survivors include his wife, Trudy; sons, Steve "JoAnn" Ramseyer, Trent "Lois" Ramseyer; daughter, Sharon Ramseyer; 13 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Ester Johnson and Martha "Spence" Searcy.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 25, 1994, 12 noon in the Eldredge Ward, 3286 South 300 East. The family will greet friends, Thursday 7:00-9:00 p.m., Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, and Friday the hour prior at the ward. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
