Confirmed as noble 25th June 1896.
Mastered the Estates in Tigheci, Borogani, Capaclia Noua & Cociula; Had also some houses. The property of 1,370 Hectares belonged to himself and his brothers and sister Isai, Ion, Mihail & Maria Avedis Ochanoff.
He converted to Lutherianism and married his niece Eugenie Goilov, his sister's daughter.
He died shortly after from tuberculosis. We have not yet located his grave.
Nicolai married Eughenia Gherasimovna GOILOV, daughter of Gherasim Lukich GOILOV and Elena Avedis OHANOV, on 5 Feb 1894 in Chisinau, , , Moldova. (Eughenia Gherasimovna GOILOV was born on 29 Sep 1861 in Bessarabia, Moldova, died on 24 Feb 1945 in Alexandria, Egypt and was buried in Protestant English Cemetary of Chatty, Alexandria, Egypt.)
