The scandalous part is that it was a long affair with…yep, Edward's father, Sir John Seymour. When Edward discovered the affair he was outraged, as any spouse would be after such a discovery, but he was enraged by the fact that the culprit was his own father....
Catherine married Edward SEYMOUR 1st Duke of Somerset, KG, son of Sir John SEYMOUR of Wulfhall, Savernake, Wiltshire, and Margery WENTWORTH, circa 1527. (Edward SEYMOUR 1st Duke of Somerset, KG was born circa 1500, died on 22 Jan 1552 in Tower of London, London, England and was buried in Church of St Peter ad Vincula, Tower of London, England.)
