Feira de Monchique: October 26th. to 28th. Annual fair: anything at a bargain from a tablecloth to a donkey, and a fun-fair.

 

	Feira dos Enchidos: March, 1st. week-end Sample and buy there all the local sausages, cured ham, and medronho... lots of animation and good fun!
	Feira do Presunto: Late June. The occasion to buy some of the local Presunto (home cured ham) at its best. Of course, a lot of Medronho goes with it!

Santos Populares: In June, Monchique celebrates Santo António, San João, San Pedro and Santa Isabel, the four popular Saints with processions and dances.

 

Dia de Todos os Santos: November 1st. Chestnut and Medronho day on the day of all Saints. Street party in Marmelete and Casais. The chestnuts are roasted on big fires; The Medronho helps keeping everybody warm!

 

Monthly Market: 2nd. Friday of the month Typical Portuguese country market, every  month.
