The Ottoman title of "Serdar" was converted into Russian nobility rank, equivalent to a Count.

In 1870, mastered the Estate of Mereseni.

The Tigheci Commune - the locality is bordered by the Tigheci forests.

In the Tigheci forest there is un place called „Cetatuia Cociulia", where in the old days there was a Geto-Dacian stronghold.
The village museum lies in the precincts of the mansion of the boyar Buicliu (beginning of the 19^th century). The Buicliu family is buried on the territory of the church, the graves are taken care of by both the locals and the boyar family's relatives, established in Switzerland, USA or France.
The village museum is visited annually by 1700 excursionists, from both the country and abroad (Switzerland, France).
The museum has two compartments of history and ethnography, has a rich collection of old objects and national patrimony. Here is the church having the celebration day „St.Nicholas". The church was built in 1990. Inside the church there are icons of Moldavian origin, having old inscriptions.
On the territory of the locality there is a monument in memory of the soldiers killed during the WWII.

Avedis married Sultana Nikitovna BUICLIU, daughter of Nikita BUICLIU and Ekatarina BUICLIU, on 7 Apr 1836. (Sultana Nikitovna BUICLIU was born about 1821 in Moldova, died on 6 Jan 1896 in Tigheci, Leovo, Moldova and was buried in Tigheci, Leovo, Moldova.)
