Brigadier Stafford Nugent Floyer-Acland was born on 23 December 1916.1 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Arthur Nugent Floyer-Acland and Evelyn Stafford Still .1 He married Patricia Egidia Hastings Emmott, daughter of Lt.-Col. Richard St. Barbe Emmott and Hon. Irene Mary Egidia Clifton-Hastings-Campbell, on 14 April 1950.1 He died in 1994.1 Brigadier Stafford Nugent Floyer-Acland was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England .1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1937 in the service of the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1959 in the service of the 1st Battalion, King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry.1 He gained the rank of Brigadier in the service of the 1st Battalion, King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry.1 He gained the rank of Brigadier in 1963 in the service of the 130 (West Country) Infantry Brigade (Terrotorial Army).1 He was Brigadier in charge of Administration and Deputy Commander of the Land Forces in Borneo in 1965.1 He gained the rank of Brigadier in 1967 in the service of the Administration and Quartering, HQ Northen Command.1 He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1967.1 He gained the rank of Deputy Colonel in 1972 in the service of the Light Infantry (Somerset and Cornwall).1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Dorset in 1974.1
