Armar Lowry-Corry, 5th Earl Belmore was born on 5 May 1870 at Government House, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia .1 He was baptised at Sydney Cathedral, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia .1 He was the son of Somerset Richard Lowry-Corry, 4th Earl Belmore and Anne Elizabeth Honoria Gladstone .1 He died on 12 February 1948 at age 77, unmarried.2
Armar Lowry-Corry, 5th Earl Belmore was styled as Viscount Corry between 1870 and 1913.1 He was educated in 1883 at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England .1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England , with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Inniskilling Fusiliers.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Fermanagh in 1895.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Fermanagh.3 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Tyrone.3 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Fermanagh.3 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Tyrone in 1901.3 He succeeded to the title of 5th Baron Belmore of Castle Coole, co. Fermanagh [I., 1781] on 6 April 1913.2 He succeeded to the title of 5th Earl Belmore [I., 1797] on 6 April 1913.2 He succeeded to the title of 5th Viscount Belmore [I., 1789] on 6 April 1913.2
