General Notes: Joseph Graham who accompanied his mother Sarah to India on 26 June 1829[7] (perhaps on the Lady Nugent) was born at Ramsgate, Kent, in 1828. He studied the Law and, becoming a QC, was Advocate General of Bengal. In about 1856 Joseph married Elizabeth, daughter of General John R Coryton and had 3 sons. Noted events in his life were: 1. Occupation: Barrister. Joseph married Elizabeth CORYTON, daughter of Gen. John Rawlins CORYTON and Elizabeth HAWORTH, on 27 Oct 1855 in Woolwich, Kent, England. (Elizabeth CORYTON was born on 28 Nov 1831 in Woolwich, Kent, England, christened on 7 Mar 1832 in Saint Mary Magdalene, Woolwich, Kent, England and died in 1897 2.) |
