Sir Richard OSBORNE 1st Bt. 1
General Notes: He was a Joint Clerk of the King's Court of Ireland between 1616 and 1629 and was created 1st Baronet Osborne, of Ballintaylor and Ballylemon, County Waterford, in the Baronetage of Ireland, on 15 October 1629. He also sat as a Member of Parliament in the Irish House of Commons for Waterford County between 1639 and 1649 and between 1661 and 1666. Richard married DALTON, daughter of Roger DALTON of Knockmoan and Unknown. (DALTON was born about 1597 in Manor of Knockmoan, Co Waterford, Ireland.) Richard next married Mary CAREW, daughter of Sir George CAREW Kt. and Thomasine GODOLPHIN, about 1609. (Mary CAREW was born about 1589 in Antony, Co Cornwall, England.) |
