Niall, High King of Ireland from 833 until 846. he defeated the Vikings near Lough Foyle in 823, and Norwegian invaders twice in 825, Felim. King ofMunster in 340. the Vikings again in 843 and the Norwegians again in 846 but was drowned while chasing them in the River Callain, leaving by Gormflilaith. daughter of Duncan MacDonnell, a son.
