Aedh Oirdnidhe ('The Dignified'). High King of Ireland from 797 until 819, he sent ambassadors to Emperor Charlemagne, defeated the Cenel Conaill in 815 and died in 819 leaving issue by his wife Maebh. daughter of Inreachtach, Chief of Durlas in Antrim.
