Thomas Manners, 1st Earl of Rutland, 12th Baron de Ros of Helmsley (c. 1492 '96 20 September 1543), KG, of Belvoir Castle, Rutland, was created Earl of Rutland by King Henry VIII in 1525.[4]

Thomas married Eleanor PASTON, daughter of Sir William PASTON and Bridget HEYDON, circa 1523. (Eleanor PASTON was born circa 1495, died in 1551 and was buried in St Mary the Virgin's Church, Bottesford.)
